We get dozens of calls
every week asking for quotes on fireworks displays for all types of
different occasions.
Most people don’t have a budget and don’t have much idea on what the
fireworks cost of what they will have to spend.
Fact is there is no set price for a fireworks display or a set pattern
or design each location and occasion has its own design.
Some venues may be lacking space to conduct a show, this is an important
issue to consider when booking a fireworks show, HOW MUCH ROOM DO YOU
HAVE FOR THE DISPLAY?
In Queensland for instance all displays are controlled by The Department
of Natural Resources and Mines.
A few of the very important guideline issues include:
1. For aerial shells you must have at least 50 Metres in ALL directions
from people, that's north ,south, east and west. Basically a hundred
metres long and wide if you want the aerial shells, they are the big
star shell effects that fire out of the mortar tubes and explode in the
sky
2. We do have to obtain a permit from The Department of Natural
Resources and Mines and this has to be done seven days prior to a event
in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria, most other states are now
following suit, with the ACT being well over a month
3.In Queensland there is a time curfew of when you can fire the display
it is not after 9:30pm on week days and 10pm on weekends
4. Local Neighbours must be advised prior to any fireworks event
5. There must be a certified First aid person on site who is not the
firer of the display at all fireworks displays
6. If you want your display on water i.e. canals, on a barge in the
river or in the ocean this will cost a great deal more as barge hire is
very expensive in Australia. Plus in most states you have to apply for
the Aquatic permit at least 42 days prior to the event, pay for this and
pay for the water Police or simular to be in attendance on the night.
- Fireworks basic administrative costs prior to adding any fireworks i.e.
casa permits, insurance, etc cost approx $510 before ANY fireworks are
added.
- Local wedding displays start from $1000 plus GST this includes permits
etc.
Once you have read all of this by all means give us a call with your
proposed budget remember it is your money and you have to feel
comfortable with what you are spending. Obviously the more you spend the
bigger the display. |
