PAUL MORRISON MELBOURNE VICTORIA
I have just been informed of the sudden death of Paul due to a severe stroke. Many of you will know Paul as the person who has bought the sound and laser shows to the Monster truck events for the past fifteen years at all of my events right around Australia, in Asia and even when we did the shows in the USA.
He certainly wasn’t the fittest man on the planet but when it came to getting a computer of the big screen working or a PA system repaired I always knew if we had Paul at the show there was a better chance than with anyone else in the world he would get it going. He has been a enormous part of our shows right from the beginning and although at times I would yell at him when things were going wrong I always knew in the long run I could rely on him to help us muddle through.
It is sad he has passed on when he should have had much more living to do, I will miss him and wish his family our deepest sympathies.

Hellraisers Hit town
Organisers today announced plans for the first ever USA Stunt and Thrill Show to hit the refurbished Stockland Park football grounds on Saturday October 1.
Co Promoter Robert Stevenson says the line up to the Stunt Spectacular will highlight acts never seen before on the Sunshine Coast that are certain to raise the adrenalin levels of the huge crowd expected to attend the first event of its kind here on the Coast.
Mind blowing Car stunts such as the mind blowing Steel wall where a car hurtles at high speed head first into two cars mounted upright on their noses smashing the cars to pieces and the hugely dangerous Insane Car T bone Jump again where the car stuntman launched the car off the ramps 50 feet through the air smashing head first while airbourne into a solid wall of exploding cars.
The dynamo fireman inferno rollovers and more are just some of the car stunts modelled off the old time Canadian Helldrivers that are bound to leave the Stockland Park audience Spellbound.
Stevenson says its basically like Nitro circus and Crusty’s all combined but on Four wheels.
Motorcycles are also a big part of the enormous programme with huge record distance jump attempts, moving car ramp jumps, firewall stunts on a motorcycle and of course the always popular daredevils of dirt the Freestyle Motorcycle stars performing all their latest highflying antics.
A very very special new attraction for Australia is a super high powered four wheeler motorcycle with a big difference ,this quad motorcycle has to be seen to be believed. A JET ENGINE mounted right through the chassis and the rider of this high powered flame throwing machine actually sits up on top of the jet while it blasts enormous twenty metre exploding flames from the back, all the time trying to toss the rider from its back, this is like something from a science fiction novel it has never been seen before in Australia and Stockland park will be its genuine First ever public appearance, this is really a must see attraction.
The ever popular Monster trucks are coming to Kawana but not as we have known in the past, Ace Fireworks will Supply Spirit of Australia and Scruffy and EMT are yet to announce which they will present in straight line side by side racing, skywheelie competitions and the ever popular smashfest anything goes Monster Slam Freestyle competition where each truck gets an allocated time to create as much carnage as possible on the football arena.
Drago the dragon, a huge fireworks spectacular and another Sunshine Coast First the whirlwind roll over truck will make its debut again kids will love this truck, originally a road registered Isuzu completely altered and modified this laugh a minute machine rolls onto its roof and back numerous times in a special show that will have the kids and mums and dads in stitches.
Tickets are already on sale from Autobarn stores at Nambour, Kawana and Gympie and over the phone of 0458 trucks plus plenty of tickets will be available at the gate the only tickets that may sell out fast is for the new ten million dollar under cover super grandstand so it may pay to grab those seats now to avoid disappointment.
They said you don’t have to be mad but to be part of the Hellraisers of Insanity it really helps and the crowds just love it.

KC's Fireworks welcome K&N Filters
K&N Air Filters and KC’s Fireworks Displays Aust Pty Ltd joined forces this month with K&N agreeing to product sponsor the Australian based family entertainment operation for the next 12 months.
This very unique operation will see K&N products on all KC’s vehicles in shows across three continents at the one time.

In Australia KC’s will commence a brand new 15 date Hell Raisers of Insanity Extreme Stunt show on May 28 at Gladstone Showgrounds on Australia’s Qld Central Coast.
The show will feature car stunts by Florida based Chris Morena, great Motorcycle stunts by the legend himself Doug Danger, a brand new Jet Quad Built by USA’s Tim Arfons, Roly Poly Cars and trucks, a transformer Dragon, huge fireworks shows and the launch of a new style monster truck action show featuring Thrillmaster, Taz and Scooby Monster trucks.
At the same time plans are well under way with Thailand based promoter Myke Brown to launch a Asia V Rest of the World Monster truck Racing series in Central Asia in Late August featuring four great monster trucks all running brand new K&N products along with a stunning Pyro and laser light show, Freestyle FMX, Jet Cars and a full support show.
To make the trifecta complete KC’s favourite baby the brand new Outback Thunda truck that now lives full time in Westville Indiana will once again fly the K&N flag when it competes in the Paul Shafer Motorsports Monster challenge at Dupage county fair on July 30 that will also feature the likes of the legend Monster Patrol and Ballistic monster trucks and many more in a full on side by side racing and awesome freestyle Inter Nations shoot out.

Parklands Gold Coast
Monster trucks finally roared back into Gold Coast Parklands sixteen months after
Their last invasion of this great facility.
EMT events presented Five racing monster trucks and unveiled the new look Buster the
rides truck formerly known as REX to the Qld community which was met with a definite
seal of approval.
Following introductions the Monster truck side of the show got under way with the two jump per truck Sky wheelie contest there were some excellent performances by the top three and in reality Jaye Featherby actually performed the best real wheelie walking the TAZ truck completely across the cars but it was never going to match up to the high flying jump of Kreg Christensen in Raptors that saw the entire back of Raptors Rampage completely torn off and the truck very nearly over backwards into the cars results for Sky wheelies.

Upon Garcia’s disqualification Kreg Christensen did bring Scooby out for some exhibition jumps in this section and performed very well once again driving Scooby Freestyle was always going to be hotly contested between Christensen and Featherby, without doubt Kreg the more experienced and superior driver acknowledges that he has the Aussie crowd to win over as well as beating Featherby, Featherby has never lost a Freestyle run in the Tour of destruction series since selling the trucks to EMT last July, Gold coast was made more challenging for the drivers as they had to stay on the sand track area and not damage the grassed areas in the end it was Featherby and Samson over Christensen in Raptors however Featherby did blot the copy book driving up on to the cars after he had completed his freestyle run THEN slashing the right rear tyre on one of the crush cars, Jaye and Taz performed very strongly especially as Jaye had just had his broken wrist cast removed a few days prior.

A reasonable Easter crowd of around 4800 spectators were on hand to watch what was a good night of Monster fun.
EMT now rolls on the NSW country town of Armidale for the next exciting battle on May 14 where Kreg Christensen has told Featherby he is going to hand him his backside on a platter, Featherby publicly retorted by offering Christensen driving lessons so expect real Monster Fireworks as the War on wheels continues at Armidale.

A Message From Clive
Well after a frantic rush we got Thunda all loaded up in the snow and headed of to the Sears center on Thursday afternoon so we could tire up the truck to do the Good Morning America Media day at 6 a m Friday morning. The Sears center is about two hours from Paul Shafers workshop in Westville Indiana.
We all got up at 4.30 am Friday morning and headed into the centre. Rick Long the Bigfoot driver was also there. Basically Barry had just gassed up the shocks when they came over and said media day was off due to the fact the media has gone into frenzy mood over the fact the Japanese Earthquakes tidalwaves are heading towards USA so that was the end of the media day.
We did a few bits and pieces on the truck and parked it up and went to breakfast.
I was really hoping to do the media day as i haven't driven in four months and that would have been good just to freshen up, especially as i have only driven that truck for around 30 seconds all up and my first race is likely to match up with Bigfoot, but never mind its a indoor venue about the same size as Brisbane no dirt concrete floor they normally suit me so should be ok.
Tomorrow will tell certainly wont be through lack of trying.
